1. Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata

3. National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi
The Government of India has taken the initiative to open the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi. This gallery was established in 1954 and had a collection of 14000 paintings by artists from India and abroad.
It is one of the finest art galleries in India and has paintings by the Tagore brothers, Raja Ravi Varma, Jamini Roy, etc.
4. Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai
The Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai is owned by a private organization and was founded in the year 1952. This gallery has paintings by great artists such as Arpita Singh to Jamini Roy.

5. Indian Museum, Kolkata
Another place in India that preserves heritage artwork is the Indian Museum in Kolkata. The museum was established in 1814 and is divided into six sections.
Inside the museum, the art gallery is divided into four sections with Bengal Painting Gallery, Mughal painting gallery, decorative art and textile gallery, and Southeast Asian Gallery.
6. Government Museum, Chennai
The Government Museum or Madras Museum is the second oldest museum in India, situated in Chennai. This museum was established in 1851 and attracted a large number of visitors all year round.
You can find paintings by legendary artists by Raja Ravi Varma. Also, traditional paintings by Rajputs, Tanjore, and Mughal era and modern contemporary paintings can be found in this gallery.
